Meet the maker: Hogs Back Brewery
Here at The Light, we love supporting local businesses, especially when they’re as good as Hogs Back Brewery. You can sample a huge range of their Surrey brewed lagers and ciders here at The Light. Try with one of our stonebaked, sourdough pizzas or some delicious chicken wings - you can thank us later!
Starting in 1992, this small family run brewery is tucked away in the village of Tongham, in the heart of the old Surrey hop-growing region. Once a home to cattle (mainly hogs!) their brewery now proudly produces over 300 varieties beers, ciders and lagers.
With the majority of their hops coming from within five miles of their brewery, Hogs Back pride themselves on using only the highest quality barley and yeast which help provide a hint of sweetness in their products.
The brewery even have their own hop garden just down the road from their headquarters - the first hop garden in Farnham in over 100 years!
We're very proud to serve a range of Hogsback Brewery products offering everything from their old style Hogstar Lager and light and floral Brooklands Goldstar Ale to their refreshing Hazy Hog Cider - there's something for all tastes.
With their passion, creativity and attention to detail we can't wait to see what's next for these local brewers - we might even try out their chocolate lager too!
